LA FORNACE

Di fronte all'entrata del Parco si trova La Fornace, una delle gallerie d'arte più grandi d'Italia, specializzata in scultura contemporanea (www.solartgallery.it). La Fornace, bellissima fabbrica di terracotta ristrutturata, presenta artisti internazionali provenienti da Vietnam, Filippine, Bolivia, Cile, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Malta etc. Alcuni degli artisti del Parco sono anche presenti alla Fornace. Oggi presentiamo Roberto Cipollone che nel Parco ha installato l'opera Chianti. Ecco Roberto al lavoro nel suo laboratorio ed una sua tipica opera "Il Coro".

Opposite the entrance to the Park, there is La Fornace, an art gallery among the largest in Italy (www.solartgallery.it). This gallery used to be a pottery which was totally renovated and presents international artists from Vietnam, the Philippines, Bolivia, Chile, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, Malta etc. Some of the artists of the Park show their smaller sculptures at La Fornace. Today we introduce Roberto Cipollone who has Chianti at the Park. You can see him working in his laboratory and one of his typical works "Chorus".

Nuova Installazione

Il Labirinto di vetro: quest'anno è stata aggiunta al Parco una nuova opera interattiva con i visitatori. Il Labirinto di Vetro disegnato dall'Inglese Jeff Saward è l'interpretazione contemporanea del labirinto inciso su roccia di Naquane in Valcamonica. Il percorso è di circa 75 metri. I vetromattoni della serie Pegaso sono stati gentilmente sponsorizzati dalla fabbrica che li produce, la SEVES di Firenze.

The Glass Labyrinth: this year we built a new installation at the Park; it's and interactive Labyrinth. It was designed by English artist Jeff Saward and it is the contemporary interpretation of a labyrinth carved on rock which was found on the Alps in Valcamonica. The internal course is about 75 meters long. The glass blocks were kindly sponsored by the factory whihc produces them, SEVES of Florence.

Il 30 agosto abbiamo avuto un gradito incontro con 48 rotariani di Siena; dopo la visita guidata al Parco è stato offerto un rinfresco presso la galleria d’arte La Fornace.
Ne ha parlato il quotidiano La Nazione.Questo primo blog vuole essere l’inizio di uno scambio di informazioni ed opinioni tra il Parco ed il suo pubblico.

On August the 30th the Park was visited by 48 Rotarians from Siena. After the guided tour of the Park refreshments were served at the art gallery La Fornace. This event was coverei by the local paper La Nazione. This first blog is the beginning of an exchange of information and opinions between the Park and its visitors.
